Trending: Fall Makeup

I hardly ever feature makeup in my fashion posts. I’m not quite sure why because I do love it. I actually used to be a makeup sales representative.

Like fashion, makeup often follows the seasons. Colors and trends go in and out of style, and it can be hard to keep up with it all! I personally like to stay classic with my makeup. I also like to take my complexion into account because not every cosmetic will flatter my skin tone (this is true for everyone).

So I have made some collages on different makeup trends and fun looks to try this fall. I hope you like them and find some inspiration for your daily routine 🙂

Berry Lips

Dark berry is a great color for fall, and it is easier for most skin tones to pull off than straight up red. Some of you might go bold with a dark berry lipstick or lip crayon. Others might prefer to keep it subtle with a tinted lip balm and a berry gloss layered lightly on top (my favorite daily go to). It is an easy way to add color to your face; just make sure to keep it simple with your eye makeup so nothing looks overdone.

Surprisingly, pale colors are still going strong this season. Variations of blue, mint, and teal are the most popular. Other light neutrals such as gray and beige are in style. And of course, classic colors such as berry and black are perfect for the cooler autumn months.

Nude Eyes

Ever since Urban Decay’s “Naked” pallet blew up the makeup industry, many other cosmetic companies are hoping on board the neutral train. There are so many pallets to choose from–ranging from classic taupes, to bronzes, and even smokier hues (plus, a lot of these pallets are more affordable). I personally love this trend because nude colors can be blended easily for daily use, no matter what the occasion.

I hope you all love these looks! Remember that makeup is like painting for your face. Always feel free to try new looks because it can always be washed off if it doesn’t look right. And remember the golden rule–makeup should never hide who you really are. It should only be used to highlight the natural beauty God already gave you!
