How to Get Your Life Together
I was having one of those nights a few weeks ago that I’m sure you can relate to. My homework was strewn all over the floor, my nails were chewed up, and all I could think about was all of the things I needed to get done. And of course, all of the things that I wasn’t doing right. In the midst of studying for my logic exam and dealing with a chronic illness flair up, all I could say to myself was one thing:
I really need to get my life together.
I bet you a dollar to a donut that you know exactly how I feel. I hear people say this phrase all the time. We are in a constant state of trying to be better, and to be honest, I don’t think anyone’s really got it figured out.
Well fear not. Today I am going to tell you how to get your life together. Actually, I’m not. It’s impossible to have it all together.
Before you leave, let me invite you to know the only one who can help us mend our broken lives. Although we may never reach perfection in this life, there’s always progress to be made. Jesus has a knack for turning people’s lives around and He can do the same for you–no matter how bad your situation.
Don’t believe me? Let’s take a look at Ezekiel 37.
The hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry. And He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?”
So I answered, “O Lord God, You know.”
Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! Thus says the Lord God to these bones: “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live (Ezekiel 37:1-5 NKJV).
I know that you may be going through something tragic or may be struggling with sin. But I also l know that if you’re reading this, you’re not a pile of dead, dry bones (at least not literally). If you’re alive and reading this, then you are not too far gone. God has brought you here for a reason. He wants to revive your life.
He wants to make the dry bones in your heart come to life. No matter what it is that seems hopeless, God can bring transformation.
I know because I’ve lived it. I used to be lost; full of depression, self-hatred, and anxiety so bad I pulled out my own hair. I was dead–until Jesus found me and raised me to life.
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved) (Ephesians 2:4-5 NKJV).
Yes, we live in a sinful world. I’m not perfect, and I won’t be until I see Jesus face to face. There are days when I struggle, but that’s okay. I don’t have to get it all together because Jesus is the perfection in me.
Lovely reader, please know that God can revive your life as well. Being a Christian is not a process of becoming perfect–it’s a lifelong journey of Christ’s love redeeming the imperfections in us. And that, my friend, is a life worth living.
So next time you find yourself wanting to get your life together, remember God’s love for you. Ask Him to show you grace and give Him control of your situation. It’s not always easy, but He will always be there to walk you through the challenges of life.
You don’t need to get it together. You need to get revival.

It’s so good seeing how God works in people’s life, I love your revelation here & your encouragement to others. Too many people feel so far gone that they resent the idea of God’s love & mercy when he’s so willing to give it to us 💛 what a great post thank you
