Keep Looking Forward: The 3 Fashion Trends I Want to See in 2017

Happy Friday and New Year lovely readers and followers! 2016 may be coming to an end, but I believe that God has amazing plans for us in this next year. If you want to learn more about preparing yourself for the New Year and ditching old school resolutions, check out Wednesday’s post here!

Although I will be reflecting on 2016 this week, I want to keep moving forward into what the Lord has planned for me. This past year has been full of blessings, challenges, loss, and growth. I feel closer to God now than I did the year before, and I am so thankful.

It almost seems like my theme this year is to keep looking forward. This can be hard to do, especially when you’ve lost someone you love, like when my Grandma passed away. But I know that I can still grieve and keep moving forward. Lovely reader, you can keep moving forward too. No matter what you’ve lost or what challenges you have faced this year, Jesus can redeem anything you put into His hands.

So are you getting pumped for the New Year?! I know I am. I’m also excited to see what’s in store for fashion this year as well. I’ve seen a lot of fashion posts/articles lately on the best and worst fashion of 2016 (I’m looking at you crop tops and heavy chokers). Although I almost went this route myself, I decided to be more creative. Today’s post is on the top 3 fashion trends I want to see this year.

The 3 Fashion Trends I Want to See in 2017

1. Printed Pants

I’m pretty sure printed pants are going to be making a huge comeback considering how popular they were this fall. I love how the neutral backgrounds keep this printed look fresh and classy. It’s so feminine and unique!

2) Sparkly Sweaters

I hate to break it to you, but winter’s not over. Although I am already looking forward to spring, bundling up is still a must. That’s why I want to see some sweaters with jeweled and glitter accents. Although that has never been something I would look for in a sweater in the past, I think it looks fun and festive for the New Year.

3) Tie Dye

I know, I’m surprised too. While looking for inspiration on Polyvore, I discovered that I actually really like tie dye–in soft, pastel hues. I guess it’s sort of like ombré hair; when done right, it looks so dreamy. I’m especially loving the idea of tie dye shoes (cue my inner 90’s fan girl!).

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland (Isaiah 43:19 NIV).

Thanks for reading! Please feel free to comment and share. I pray that you have a happy, healthy, and safe New Year 🙂
