Airplanes and Wanderlust~Day 7 of The 30 Day Blog Challenge
Hello lovely readers and followers! Welcome back to Day 7 of the 30 Day Blog Challenge!
Today’s Topic: Somewhere You’d Like to Move or Visit
My Wanderlust
To be honest, I’ve never traveled much. I live in the Midwest, but I did fly to South Carolina last month for my brother’s wedding. I loved it there and can’t wait to go back again. We were close to the mountains, and it was beautiful–with lots of fun shopping centers and awesome places to eat at. Next time I go, I want to see the ocean!
I had my first experience with flying on my trip to South Carolina. I was so nervous about it and thought I wouldn’t really enjoy the plane ride–I have never been more wrong about anything. I can’t stop thinking about the plane rides and how it felt to take off and touch down. I can’t stop browsing through the photos on my phone and get goosebumps at the memories.
Both flights were pretty smooth, so I know that I still haven’t experienced what it feels like to go through rough turbulence. But even if I do experience that, I don’t think that it will change my love of flying.
I am a cautious person by nature. I’m afraid of heights, and I don’t really take too many risks when it comes to extreme activities. I guess I’m rather boring to some people, but I don’t really care. I prefer to read, write, and explore unique shops and restaurants.
However, I do want to travel more, and I definitely want to fly more. If I could take an airplane to get around my hometown, I would! That’s how much I loved my first plane ride.
(A photo I took on the plane. I prayed, and look what God made in the clouds!)
Someday I want to go to Disney World (although I don’t really care about the rides), Chicago, and California. I also want to go to Ireland since I’m Irish. I think Japan would be really cool too. I’ve always been fascinated by Japanese culture and anime.
As for moving? Right now I like where I live. The climate suits my health conditions, and I love my church and community. However, I know that God could have other plans for me one day, so I’m definitely open to moving later on in my life.
All I know is that life is an adventure, and wherever I go, I want to be where Jesus is. I want to keep on following Him and being a source of love and light to those around me. When I sit in an airplane, gazing out the window, I want to feel His presence as I look at the glory of the heavens around me.
They are pieces of His grace. They are pieces of His beauty. They are pieces of His love for us.
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands (Psalm 19:1 NIV).

I LOVE flying, too. If you like flying, you might actually like piloting, too, like me 🙂

Yes! I absolutely love traveling and flying. Haven’t visited as much countries as I would like but the inter-state trips are pretty blissful by air. My longest flight was to London (from Nigeria) and it was fun. I think flying is very special to creatives as it opens our minds to the beauty of God’s creation. 🙂
