The Art of Learning~Day 10 of The 30 Day Blog Challenge

Hello lovely readers and followers! Welcome back to Day 10 of the 30 Day Blog Challenge!

Today’s Topic: How Important You Think Education Is.

I think education is super important. Almost anyone will tell you that. I believe that many Americans take school for granted, since the law forces children to go.  There are other countries where kids would give just about anything to learn to read and write. They would give anything to learn how they can make a difference in the world.

I also believe that lifelong learning is important. College may not be for everyone, but there are so many books to read and trades to learn. No matter who you are or what your financial situation is, we are all capable of learning something.

I believe that developing curiosity for the world around us is necessary to live a fulfilling life. Just go outside and look at the earth and sky God has created! Look at the stars highlighting their dark canvas, or the way animals live in harmony. Look at the way people interact with one another and what motivates them. Doesn’t that make you want to learn?

One of my favorite quotes on learning is by my favorite actress, Natalie Portman (who graduated from Harvard by the way).

I don’t love studying. I hate studying. I like learning. Learning is beautiful. —Natalie Portman

I wouldn’t go so far as to say that I hate studying, but it really doesn’t captivate me either. Learning, however, is like art. I guess I’m making a huge nerd out of myself, but that’s okay. I hope to keep learning about the world around me even when I’m done with college.
