Strength in Weakness + Block Heels
Happy Friday lovely readers and followers! While this is still a fashion post, I also have something that the Lord has put on my heart to share with you. Some of you may have noticed that there was no Wednesday post, and I apologize for that. My blood pressure has been going pretty low this week, and sometimes I struggle to stay awake. I know that God is faithful and will heal me in His time. I am believing in great things for myself, despite this temporary weakness. Weakness. Our pride often gets in the way when we try to admit our weaknesses, doesn’t it? I think this can sometimes be…

Earth Day + Floral Patch Denim
Happy Friday lovely readers and followers! Tomorrow is Earth Day. Okay, you may be thinking. Why should I care about Earth Day? Well, God cares, so that should be a good reason. The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it (Psalm 24:1 NIV) As human beings, we tend to think that the world is ours. However, God is the one who created the universe and the planet we live on, so it’s actually His. That being said, God did give us the world for us to be temporary stewards of (Genesis 1:26). This is quite an honor, and shouldn’t be taken lightly.…

Easter Dresses + The Power of The Cross
Happy Good Friday lovely readers and followers! When you really think about it, Good Friday is quite sorrowful. It was the day Jesus was beaten and crucified for our sins. It was the day of our Savior’s death. Can you imagine how bleak things must have looked for the disciples that weekend? Of all the things they expected the Messiah to do, dying on a lowly cross wasn’t one of them. But there is tremendous power in Christ’s death on that cross. I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh…

Beauty and the Butterfly~Nature Meets Fashion
Happy Friday lovely readers and followers! I’m starting to become somewhat of a nature lover. I don’t know if it’s because of the warmer weather enticing sprouts of nature to suddenly appear, or the fact that I’m addicted to Safari Live (it’s probably a mix of both). My creative writing professor has noticed this appreciation of the natural world in my writing and recommended that I read Pilgrim at Tinker Creek by Annie Dillard, so I checked it out from my town library. So far it’s a beautiful read, basically poetic non-fiction. Though there really isn’t any major plot to the book, the descriptions of nature are enchanting for those of…

Marigold Hope
Happy Friday lovely readers and followers! Spring is officially here, and I’m loving the sunshine and longer nights. Even though losing sleep from daylight saving’s time is no fun, a night owl like me sure does appreciate the extra hours of evening light. Spring reminds me of hope, and right now a friend of mine needs a good dose of that. His name is Rob, and he just had surgery to remove pancreatic cancer. Though the odds may be against him, God is always in his favor. I believe in the Lord’s healing power, and I’m asking for agreement in prayer over Rob’s body and spirit. Please also keep his wife…
