Save Lunabelle + Cozy Fashion

Happy Friday lovely readers and followers! I am editing this post in the middle of the night because my cat Lunabelle is sick. She’s urinating blood, but we really can’t afford to take her to the vet.

If you would like to help, please donate here https://www.gofundme.com/save-lunabelle

If you can’t donate, please share and pray for healing for her. Thanks so much!

I can feel it in the air; it’s almost Christmas! I love this holiday because of all the baking, pretty lights, decorating the tree, and gathering with family and friends.

Of course, I love remembering the birth of my Savior Jesus Christ most of all. Even though we all tend to get busy this time of year, it is important to slow down and remember what God has done. Read the Christmas story and think of some things you are grateful for this year. And of course, don’t forget to reach out and help a neighbor.

Another thing I love about the holidays is being cozy and warm (even though it can be freezing out!). And yes, you can still look chic while bundling up. I love parkas. I have an olive green one like the jacket in this collage, and it is the warmest coat I have ever worn. Parkas are long and figure flattering, and they go well with any outfit.

Flannel is also in style, and we all know it’s super warm. Try updated colors like blue, peach, or purple this year. Dark skinny jeans and simple ankle boots anchor this outfit for a casual, yet polished look. Perfect for going out Christmas shopping!

For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord (Luke 2:11 NKJV).

How to Style~Jumpsuits

Hello lovely readers and followers! Happy Halloween 🙂 I don’t know about you, but I’m enjoying the treats and cute kids running around in their costumes. I think it helps to start the week off on a holiday.

A fashion trend I’ve been wanting to try is the jumpsuit. I know they’ve been in style for a while now, but I think I’m just starting to muster the courage to try one out (I know, I’m slow lol). Today’s fashion post is all about styling jumpsuits!

I chose gray for this collage because I am addicted to it. I cannot stress enough about how flattering gray is on everyone, and it is also a great neutral for the upcoming holidays (yup, they’re closer than you think!).

A loose-fitting jumpsuit with tapered legs and a cinched waist is flattering for most shapes. A cropped sweater makes a great cover-cup, and can also add some modesty and class. Don’t forget the booties–a simple wedge is perfect for this time of year. I also think a statement piece of jewelry like a nice bracelet or necklace helps to pull off the glamorous side of the jumpsuit.

Style Tips to Remember

  • Find a figure flattering jumpsuit for your shape.
  • Add a cute cover-up (such as a cropped sweater or jacket)
  • Pair with wedge booties
  • Wear a statement piece of jewelry

How to Style~Duster Cardigans

Hello lovely readers and followers! Happy Fashion Saturday! Say what?? What happened to Friday? Well, I came down with a virus this week that kind of knocked me out. Good news is I think I’m on the mend, and now I am honored to be a part of your weekend!

Today’s collage is about duster cardigans. I have one in burgundy (big surprise lol), and I absolutely love it! It’s very 90’s fall chic.

Dusters are cardigans that go below the knee. They are warm, cozy, and very classy. I chose a gray one for this collage because it’s such a gorgeous neutral. It complements any hair color or skin tone. Since dusters are so long, wear a shorter/boxier blouse underneath to create balance. Skinny jeans or leggings (or as my Aunt Laura would say, leggins’!) look great under dusters.

If you want a bolder look, pair it with over the knee boots! They are trending right now, and the duster’s length will hit at the top of the boots to really show them off.

Thanks for reading, I hope you all enjoyed this post! Have anything fun planned for the weekend? Let me know in the comments below!

Happy Hiking Boots + What Should I Write??

Happy Friday lovely readers and followers! Life is busy as usual, with many good things happening all around me (including my brother’s upcoming wedding!). Anyway, while life is running a mile a minute and I’m trying to edit my book, sometimes I get stuck on what to post for my blog.

I always let the Holy Spirit be my guide when it comes to writing posts about my faith, but that doesn’t mean I never get writer’s block! So I’m asking for your help.

What do you want me to write about?

Is there any life issue you’re facing or advice you think I can provide? Do you want me to post some creative fiction? Any current issues you want me to cover from a faith point of view? Something else?? Please let me know in the comments below or contact me here!

Thanks for your feedback 🙂 Now time to talk boots! I LOVE boots. They are my favorite type of shoe to wear (other than Converse). Although my style is kind of girly, I love a nice tomboy boot.

Hiking boots in particular are trending right now. I don’t really hike (unless walking around on campus counts lol), but I do love the cozy feel and slightly rugged look of these boots.

You can get a “duck boot” (top left) for an extra edgy appeal. You can also find boots with heels for a more girly vibe. There are also other colors besides traditional browns (like the navy pair on the bottom right). They go so well with any fall outfit and are perfect for chilly temperatures.

I actually have the duck boots from the collage above! They are Esprit brand, and I got them for a bargain at T.J. Maxx. I love wearing them with my burgundy cardigans or a chunky sweater and skinny jeans. I actually wore them to a cider mill last weekend, and let me tell you, I felt like I was in a fall advertisement.

Fall Boot Fashion

Other than scarves and cozy sweaters, boots are probably my favorite part of fall fashion. In fact, I think they are one of the best parts of fall period.

I’ve already started wearing my lace combat booties (which are featured in the first collage below). Let me tell you, this is a creative year for boots. Before it was mostly knee-high boots or combat, but now we have embellishments and a wide array of colors!

I hope you all enjoy the inspiration 🙂

Combat Boots

That boot in the upper left hand corner with the lace trim is mine! Well, I own a pair just like them lol (thank you T.J. Maxx). Combat boots are probably my absolute favorite type of boot. They are just the right length and can be styled with anything–from a t-shirt and jeans to a floral dress. I Love the new style of wrapping the laces around the boot. You can’t really tell from the flap, but the one I own also has that same wrapping.

Knee High

Knee High by fearfullywonderfullyme featuring riding boots

Knee high boots are a classic that will never fade. Rushed sides and deep brown colors are trending. And last year’s color blocking ( aka riding style boot) is still going strong. I will have to upload a picture of my own knee high boots because I have yet to find a photo of a similar pair to do them justice.

Embellished Boots

No here’s the life of the party! The classic combat boot is taken to a whole new level when it is embellished with buckles, bright color, or floral print. It is definitely a statement piece, but a simple way to style it is to wear a boot with the inside embellishment peaking out (see top left).

To be honest, this was not my favorite boot trend. However, when paired with the right outfit, these booties can look absolutely gorgeous! They are equal parts bohemian and cow-girl. Get a suede pair with a chunky heel and wear it for a night out with the girls!

Thanks for reading! What boot style are you planning on wearing this fall? Tell me in the comments below!
