To the Christian Girl Who is Waiting for Healing

Hello lovely one! My goal is to revive this blog, and I wanted to give you all an update on something important in my life: My health journey.  The subject of healing was often the kryptonite of my faith. I’ve often wondered, why does God heal some people in this life, while letting others suffer? Why does He answer the prayers of certain saints and not others?  My Journey I decided to follow Jesus at the age of seventeen–not really understanding what it meant. That’s also the time my health took a downturn, both mentally and physically.  Throughout the years, God delivered me from depression, panic attacks, hair pulling, and…

How God Turns Disappointment into Purpose

I felt the pain hit me like a tsunami as the doctor said the words, you need surgery again. After I broke my elbow last winter and had emergency surgery, I thought healing would come relatively quickly and easily. After months of physical therapy, my movement is still restricted due to the size of the plate that helped fuse my bones together. Now that plate has to go so my arm can be free. Fear becomes a constant nag in the corner of your mind, and you lose confidence in your future. I know this because it happened to me. Getting diagnosed with POTS  and IBS was one of the hardest, yet most rewarding trials I have faced so far. I’ve learned patience, compassion, perseverance, and most importantly, dependence on God. I truly believe my faith and the prayers of those who love me have brought me this far in my healing journey. Although I’m not cured…

How a Broken Arm Showed Me God’s Faithfulness

Happy Friday everyone! As many of you may know from my social media post, I have recently broken my arm and had to have surgery. Because of this, my posts have been more sporadic. I’m going to start posting again, but a lot of them will be much shorter. I plan to write devotionals based on a single Bible verse for some inspiration during your holiday season. An Unexpected Plot Twist Have you ever felt consumed by life? I know I’ve felt that way before. The morning of my accident, I was getting out of the shower when I saw a large spider coming down from a web right next…

How to Find Healing In a Sick World

Yesterday was one of the those days where I just couldn’t win. No matter what I did, I could barely get out of bed. Walking was difficult and concentrating took all of the energy I had. My body refused to cooperate with my mind, but I still pressed on. This is my life with POTS right now. I say “right now” because I believe God’s healing power is at work in me. But I can’t deny the reality that although my body is healthy, it doesn’t work the way it should. Isn’t it strange how when you’re sick, the feeling leaks into all areas of your life? Work and school…
