Did you know that Mesothelioma Awareness Day is on Saturday, September 26th? Chances are you probably weren’t aware that this day even existed–I know I wasn’t. So what is mesothelioma and why is it important? Mesothelioma is a cancer that is caused by exposure to asbestos. Asbestos is harmful fibers that were commonly used in dry wall, mining, and the military in the 20th century. Basically, mesothelioma is highly preventable by avoiding and not disturbing asbestos.
